Big two months at Aspers Stratford City!

Aspers Casino Stratford City is set for a big two months, with March and April 2014 bringing plenty of top-quality poker action to the venue.

After last weekend’s highly-successful WPT National at the casino, which crowned Laurence Houghton as its champion, next up is the Coral 30/30 from 15-16 March.

The previous instalment brought a bumper £8,250 payout for winner Andrew Abernethy. Buy-in for the tournament is £300, with 30,000 chips and a £30,000 guarantee.

The 30/30 is quickly followed by the PKR Mix-Max from 28-30 March. Buy-in for the mixed format PKR event is $500, which includes nine-seater hold’em tables on day one and short-handed six-seater on day two that will play down to 16 qualifiers for day three. Those 16 will return to play heads-up matches – seeded by stack size – until a champion is crowned.

Then in April it’s Apat’s World Championship of Amateur Poker from 15-21 April, with 16 bracelet events.

And, if that wasn’t enough, the busy period is concluded by the Boylepoker IPO from 10-14 April. The €280 buy-in event follows hot on the heels of February’s IPO in Galway, won by John O’Shea who pocketed €21,780 for his efforts at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dublin.
