Bernheim makes a Mint with Super Stack win

Antoine Bernheim won leg 10 of the 2014 Super Stack Series at the Genting Cromwell Mint from 26-28 September.

Bernheim won the heads-up duel with Terry Mitford to take home the £4,000 top prize, runner-up Mitford heading home £3,000 richer.

A total of 115 entries generated a £17,250 prize pool for the £150+£15 event, with 40 players returning for Day 2.

Former champions Chaz Chattha (145,100) and Mark Greening (123,000) were in the chasing pack as Jordan Bamford returned as chip leader on 170,500, with Mitford second in chips on 162,900, Bernheim well down the field on 73,100 and Annie Solomon the short stack on 26,500.

Chatta, fifth in chips, failed to make the final table along with Bamford, although Robert Panayi, who was third at the start of the day on 155,400, did along with Greening, who began 10th in chips.

Craig Sweden, Fay Probst, Fowzi Baroukh and Ali Hosseini, who all started the day immediately behind Greening in the pecking order, all made it to the final table, with Filip Mihailovic completing the cast.

The final table started with Baroukh (715k) out in front, with Mitford still in second place on 690k, followed by Sweden (524k), Mihailovic (354k), Bernheim (300k), Greening (278k), Probst (257k), Hosseini (153k) and Panayi now the short stack on 151k.

Sweden (£350) was the first to head for the exit, followed by Probst (£550) and then Greening, Mihailovic, Baroukh and Panayi, who each took home £1,500. Hosseini finished in third place for £2,250.
