It’s hats off to Kirby in Luton 25/25

Stuart Kirby claimed the 25/25 Series title at the G Casino in Luton from 12-14 December and picked up a cool £12,920, after 226 entries contributed to a whopping £45,200 prize pool.

The 54-strong field returning for Day 2 on Sunday was led by Garry Bush on 292,700, with Kirby in second place on 276,100 and Michael Kossov third on 257,900, with 23 places paid.

Jie Tian was the man to finish in 23rd place, picking up £410 for his efforts, with Kossov missing out on the final table in 10th for £810.

Both Bush and Kirby made the final table, the latter beating Gavin Manley - who had returned for Day 2 with 167,200 chips – heads-up to be crowned champion.

William Young – who had returned on 120,900, less than half Kirby's stack – finished third, with Dave MacConachie fourth and Bush finishing in fifth place.
